It could use some more love put into the aesthetics. The signs are tacky as hell and so are most of the decals (probably my idea too). There also isn't enough variance in the caution tape texture used on the smaller staircases throughout the map. And the lower staircase section with the flooded teleporter could use a rework as it just looks weird and can be awkward to navigate.
The upper connector from the bridge to the fan room (with the PF sign) is incredibly boring (but it is functional) and the hallway from the AR to the jump pad is a bit too cramped. All of those problems are fairly minor. This is Goober's best work that isn't geometry porn. One of the best FFA maps and more than functional in duel. Its best quality is that it has enough verticality in its design to remain interesting in play without overtaxing RF's weapons. It more or less plays like a default but is better looking and more balanced than any DM map the game shipped with. |
