Description
Hello, and again, welcome to the Aperture Science enrichment centre.
Your specimen has been processed and you are now ready to begin the test proper.
Before we start, however, keep in mind that, although fun and the obstacles you face will be difficult as hell,
serious injuries may occur. For your own saftey, and the saftey of others, please reframe from..... DosabofimadomayanooooMOna!
I'm back. The portal will open as soon as you download the map in 3.... 2.... 1.....

Hi, and welcome to Run Challenge 2. The very first Red Faction's Portal themed run map. You will be put to your mental skills to attempt
to complete the course that has been created for you to test the new teleport technology. If you have never played Portal, then you are about
to play something that is simular to it, but not by a long shot.
There are 3 difficulties to choose from at the beginning. Easy, Medium and Hard. You may do them in any order you wish to.

Your objective is to complete each difficulty right to the end and press a button to open up a Cake Room Checkpoint.
You have 3 buttons to press to get to the cake room and upon pressing all 3 buttons, you will be baked, and then there will be cake.

It has taken me a very long time to complete this map, and I would love to thank everyone who has helped testing the map.
I do apologies if your avatar does not show up in the map, if you have tested. I know who you are and I still acknowledge that you helped test the map :)

Please note : -
1) You will need to run Pure Faction in order to play this map if you are hosting. (The map contains A LOT of teleporters)
2) There is a sound file added to a vpp called RC2OptionalSound.vpp. This sound replaces the jump pad sound for a different one, to create the effects of going through the portals. If you do not wish to have this sound replaced, simply delete the RC2OptionalSound.vpp file which will be located in your / User_Maps / Multi / folder. (Staff Note: This sound file has been removed so it is not automatically downloaded through PF.)

One of the greats in the world of run maps. A very fresh, and well executed map, despite being underdeveloped, as others mentioned.

I agree with digi, I always felt this map was slightly under-developed. Especially from an aesthetic point of view in comparison to the real Portal. The usage of portals was poorly designed and really didn't add to the map outside of just being a gimmick.

In comparison to RunChallenge 1, I felt the portal theme really constrained spikeys imagination when to designing interesting obstacles as he did in run challenge 1.

There was a version of run challenge 2 that predates this one that had portals and a focus on co-oprative play. But sadly it was never released.

I really enjoyed the map tho, I'd give it a 3/5

Well kinda agree with digi there and plus i wished there was also a Portal Gun too to use which of course that ain't gonna happen. :/ Its a really easy run map but the portals aren't really well made, just pictures of rooms where you're about to get teleported. And the rest of the portals are like circle doors... what i mean it is still trying to have a Portal feeling so this scores an average rank. Still nice and playable though ;)

A hybrid between Deathrun Freestyle and the "Oh Shit" series with Portal mixed in, it's an interesting concept spoiled by poor usage of teleporters. Slamming into the walls when entering a portal just feels bad... there should have been invisible rooms behind them to hold you while you are teleported.
