Still in-progress version of XJ15 Pro. Not considered final, this beta is uploaded so it can get some playtesting with the current changes, to determine if additional changes are needed.
XJ15 Pro was completely constructed from scratch, and uses no geometry or objects from the original version. That said, great care has been taken to ensure every aspect of the level has been reconstructed in a manner that stays true to the spirit of the original.
List of notable differences between the original version of Installation XJ15 and XJ15 Pro is as follows:
Gameplay:
- Reworked item layout of PR hallway to remove Flamethrower and ammo + add PR ammo
- Reworked structure and entrances to/from PR hallway
- Reworked HMG hallway structure to add staircase from bottom and change up geo regions at top
- Opened one side of fusion hallway, fixed up geo regions on the other side
- Resolved step up issues on catwalks
- Added stacks of crates to C4 death pit & upper area
- Added ladder to provide route from bottom mid to Shotgun area
- Removed Rail Driver and ammo pickups
- Reworked upper curved hallway area to turn into double staircase for better navigation
- Moved HMG to top of HMG tunnel
- Removed C4 from top of HMG tunnel
- Swapped curved hall C4 for grenades
- Removed grenade pickup in back hall
- Rounded bottom corner area next to C4 and moved spawn behind crate stack
- Added invisible geometry to bottom of geo areas to smooth movement
- Swapped order of ARs in death trap and upper tunnel to be in the order Ammo, Ammo, Gun from mid, rather than the stock Ammo, Gun, Ammo
- Widened upper tunnel for more visility during fights
Visuals/Misc:
- Added FF sign
- Added upper Ultor sign & decal
- Changed up decals for geo regions to use new propaganda
- Added glass to top window
- Added lava area to outside area and outside visibility of portion of tunnel
- Added visibility to outside lava area behind back hallway
- Changed grating texture on catwalks for more visibility
- Resolved texture issues on catwalks
- Added crate visual area (blocked) to SMG area
