Firstly I should say this is an experimental map. I'm not sure what game play will be like. Testing has been very limited.
This is an exclusive TDM map. What this means is that although you could play it as DM it would be rather pointless.
A high level of teamwork is essential because unlike normal DM there is an objective other than maximum frags.
In the center of this map you will see 4 red and 4 blue columns which can be raised or lowered with a series of switches
located inside the four small numbered buildings. There is a red and blue switch in each building but only one can be
activated at a time since using a switch causes instant death as well as raising or lowering the columns.
To win the game each team must raise their respective columns, however, the opposing team can lower them again with the
appropriate switch. Columns are numbered 1 to 4 from the outside in for both red and blue. The columns are not marked so
you will have to remember this so you'll know which of the numbered buildings you need to enter to raise or lower a given
column. For example, the outer most columns for red and blue are both activated from building 1.
IMPORTANT!!! The column switches are activated by the use key which is [Enter] unless you've changed your keyboard settings.
The buildings require teamwork to access. Each has 4 doors which are activated by switches which one person must stand on
to activate while another team member goes through the doors. The door switches are signified by green stars in white
circles on the ground near each door.
There is another special switch which may be used only ONCE.
This is the INVERT switch which causes all columns to change states.
For example if red has 3 columns raised and blue has 1, the INVERT switch will change this to 1 red column raised and
3 blue columns raised. Be aware that using this when both teams have the same level of columns raised is pointless.
You will have to decide very carefully when this switch should be used if at all. This switch is located on the hill
with the columns but it cannot be accessed directly. There are two large grey structures at either end of the map which
allow entrance into an underground tunnel that leads to the hill from below. Also note that using the INVERT switch results
in instant death and that the grey access structures at each end of the tunnel are booby trapped. You need full health and
armor to survive the trip into the tunnel below.
Weapons are limited to shotguns, assault rifles and machine pistols.
Remember that this is essentially no different from a normal DM/TDM map and so at the end of the game the team with the
most frags will be announced by the computer as the winner. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent this but it is the
number of columns raised which governs who wins. You could use frags to decide the winner incase of a draw.
Happy gaming.
