This is a very, very small patch that adjusts the behaviour at the beginning of second stealth mission in the campaign to be a little less annoying.
In the stock game, when you walk into the room that has the doctor's coat and walk near it, you automatically lose all your weapons and go undercover. It is fully optional to go stealth in this section (ie. the game is fine with you choosing to avoid losing all your weapons), but if you accidentally activate it while simply exploring the area, the game provides no way to revert and get your weapons back.
This small patch edits the behaviour of this section such that you must press your use key after walking up to the doctor's coat before you will lose your weapons and enter stealth. This should ensure you don't accidentally enter stealth mode while exploring. Absolutely nothing else is changed by this patch.
To install this patch:
1. Extract the "_mpL8S1stealthfix.vpp" file contained within this archive to your "...\user_maps\single" directory. (Normally this will be
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\red faction\user_maps\single for Steam users, and
C:\games\RedFaction\user_maps\single for non-Steam users)
2. Launch the game

CAUTION: I would
strongly advise against installing this patch and then loading a save file created after jumping into the incinerator pit and entering the vent system. Loading any save files created before that should be fine, though.

Very, very small patch, but oh so good! I never liked the stealth mechanics in RF. They should be optional.
