I just beat this mod. The campaign took me exactly one hour. I wasn't in a hurry.

From what I understand, we play as a drunk soldier who likes to cause trouble for himself. First there's prison. Then we get weapons and the carnage begins.

During the game we get messages. Of course, great job guys with the voices. It gives a nice atmosphere. Also nice job with the recolored envirosuit. :-$

The maps are ported, but they look good. There are also moments where it's a bit empty.

I think my only complaint is too many enemies. Towards the end there were too many of them and here rail and fusion came in handy (it's good that there were at least a lot of them for pick up). But I have to admit that I liked the system that told me if I killed all the enemies.

Unfortunately, the end for our hero is a bit sad - what can you expect from a game made by Russians? :P

At the end I will say that it's a good port and I recommend playing it to everyone. You can have a lot of fun! B)

really nice short single player campaign. I really like how it tells you that you killed all the enemies on the level. I like being thorough and this saves me time. Can there be a speedrun where you have to kill all the enemies in each level? I'd do that speed run :)

Soldier of Empire, an abandonware game created by a Russian company Fragmaker. Stolen. Brought to Red Faction. Stolen and stolen again.

Until Duke discovered it, we had no idea that this game had RF assets, such as textures and other things. And seeing as how small was it, it was time to bring those assets back to Red Faction!
And boy, this was groovy. Every level was ported straight out of that game.

You play as an unknown drunk soldier dressed in yellow suit working for an empire, but for the sake of this port, it's Ultor Corporation as the empire. Without thinking logically due to vodka, you become an outcast and the empire is coming to get you.

Levels are how you would expect, from down-right impressively detailed to some parts that are not textured well. But blame the original makers, not Goober. He only improved these levels for better gameplay flow :) I loved it! But the ending was sour... And i will recommend playing this on Easy, cause on Medium i pretty much got my ass kicked. God damn Enviro-Elites tough as tanks. Goober you should add more health and armor secondary drops by enemies, i'm not joking.

Glad i contributed myself with the voice-acting, more SP custom content are very welcomed! arm2

This campaign is fairly short but fun.

Love the overall vibe.
Love the designs.
Love to hear the community's voices.
Love how chaotic it is.
Love the storyline.

Playing this was pure joy. 10/10 won't speedrun it but might play again!

Dumb fun campaign which recreates the mod of a mod :D

Recommend to tweak your volume so that message audio is way louder than other audio just to make sure you hear all the beautiful voice efforts of everyone from the community :D

Mod features 11 well ported levels with a fairly decent difficulty curve which recreates the chaos of the originals curve. The music fits the gameplay well, and the mini game that replaces the training missions is equally a bit of cool novelty fun.

10/10 best distraction from working on serious projects <3
