Very nice map! Was fun to play at game night. Nice geometry and I like how each area has its own unique look.

Besides what nick said below, it felt like i was playing a RF2 hybrid custom map. At first i thought it was port with random textures put in, but then i realized that this doesn't exist in that game. haha The map is short with RF2 music playing, while the layout is generically arena style with multiple hallways and corridors. Geometry work here is fantastic, while the texturing could use some more work, as i don't get it for why the egyptian walls are scrolling for instance and basically what nick said already about the rest.
Not a bad map still, Mikelice! |

this is pretty solid. fairly safe geometry and map layout for RF, with good item density and placement. should be very playable in FFA and maybe good for TDM as well.
that said, i don't love the aesthetic. there's sort of an identity crisis going on here with the visuals - everything just feels slightly off or inconsistent. in particular, the white/gray/black brick texture is really rough on my eyes with high quality textures enabled and would make it hard to focus. the metal plating texture throughout the upper section of the map doesn't really look the best either. it's kind of quake-like, i guess, but it would probably be better visually to break the mostly contiguous floor up with different textures. i think it would make a lot more sense if the floor was mostly a cement texture, but broken up with the plate metal texture used more sparingly for ramps, catwalks, ledges, the side rooms, etc. and well I don't understand what's going on in the invincibility room at all with the wood wall and stuff also, it's generally nice to spend a few faces to put posters into frames or onto something to separate them from the walls. it makes them look like they're actually a thing instead of just another texture on the wall. |
