v1.0 of the Red Faction Level Editor (RED), uploaded here for archival and preservation purposes. This version shipped with the retail version of the game.

This version of the level editor contains several features and functions that would later be removed by Volition in v1.2. Most don't have any real utility, with the exception of some settings available in the properties of light objects.

IMPORTANT: This version lacks all improvements made in v1.2 of the official editor, Dash's level editor, and Alpine's level editor. Additionally, I strongly recommend you NOT attempt to open newer levels (especially Alpine Faction levels) using this historical version of the editor. If you plan to use things created in this version of the editor - say, dynamic lights - in Alpine Faction levels, you should export them as a group and then bring them into your map using the Alpine Faction level editor.
