Comments:
Remember to experiment with various mapping techniques before deciding what you want to use. All mappers have a different style, mine may not feel natural to you. Feel free to get creative and never be afraid to try new things. You can always load a backup or undo changes if it doesn't work out as you intended.
Tutorials are a valuable resource, yes, however self-education is an invaluable resource. Open up RED and play around with things, you will teach yourself more than I could ever hope to cover in tutorials.
If there is ever anything you are unsure about or need help with, be sure to post on a RED editing forum (such as www.factionfiles.com) and you will likely recieve help from experienced mappers. If you still need help, send me an email at goober@nebulamods.com and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Don't release maps that you are not fully happy with. Don't be afraid to change anything or scrap a map if you are not happy with it. Remember, your released maps are what people will use to judge your skill level, you want to show them just what you are capable of.
Thanks for watching & best of luck with your mapping!
