An idea that keeps bugging me is using the singleplayer map in multiplayer then creating a custom gamemode that will have either an insanely long time limit or no time limit if possible. basicly i want to either be able to screw around in the singleplayer map with the buildings regening and more people or if possible a kind of coop mode.

With the PF server, you can do a level switch to single player maps. Entities and events will in most cases not work though. Also, in multiplayer, if there's no multiplayer spawn point objects, it spawns the player at the world origin (NOT the player start, despite popular belief), which is usually way outside of the level geometry on the single player maps.

Goober, lay off the booze. This is the RFG section.

OP: I don't know. As far as I know, nobody has tried it.

We did successfully get the Wrecking Crew maps working in multiplayer though.

If I remember correctly, it's split up into a load of "zones".

well even if it is split up into zones as long as they are the same file format as a multiplayer map then they still can be loaded

Not necessarily, but once again, I haven't tried. It would certainly be interesting if you were right though.

Yes, I remember gibbed was working on the level format before. Don't think anything really came of it though...

May be worth going through the older threads on the PC modding section of the Volition forums and saving anything important before they take the forums down...

Short answer is no.

^^^ tells you basically everything you need to know :P

Gibbed started working on that roughly the same time as the modding scene started to fall apart.
