What subjects do you want video or text tutorials on?

Feel free to post any ideas.

I'd say basic mapping for starters. One time I did a video version of the "hello room." I lost the video, but I'd be willing to make it again.

Some other ideas:
*RED dos and don'ts
*Common RED mistakes (brushwork mistakes, when to triangulate, etc)
*Video explanation of new REDPF features (teleports, etc)
*Keyframe trick explanation

I would like some tutorials on making curves and vertecies in RED (i'm a noob).

Got a few suggestions about mapping tutorial videos: (step-by-step if ya please and take your time) :3

-Loading up different singleplayer maps in between them *(i know its with Load_Event or something like that but it seems to not work properly somehow as it either crashes the game or it gets me into the Main Menu for not loading the second map. Not even showing the loading screen or idk if i made a wrong placement of rfls or vpps.)*
-How to make transparent textures used for decals or detailed brushes.
-How to make animation vbm's (like the realistic water from SwimmingPark2 for example) and making it work ingame.
-Singleplayer bots with ordinary AI to attack/dodge/run/walk and also incoming custom (written by us) messages by them.

That is all i can think of now.

We're definitely going to have more tutorials for the RED event systems. Most of it will be geared towards multiplayer (and I have a bunch already half-written) but we'll try to get some up for single player as well.

Once I made an epic map....I almost completed it but the file was ruined somehow and I could no longer open red or the project file....so now that map is gone in history.egueguhge

Nope sorry. Im not into modded server stuff, but you can ask someone else. Also this is a Tutorial Ideas forum, not for modding stuff. Stay on topic or start PM'ing people u think they know anything about modding. (preferably Haze )

I made a DM server I look for it and cant find it any solution?

Assuming...
1. You're trying to run a public server
2. You've already properly forwarded the port and other people can see your server

Most routers don't do NAT reflection by default. You need to do "add server" at the server list and manually add your server's LAN IP and port.

If you haven't port forwarded or anything yet, we will have to rewind and get that working first

You need to port-forward your server.

To do this you need go into your browser, punch in 192.168.1.1 Enter the username/pass

Look for the port forwarding part of your router. There might be something called range port-forwarding and Single Port forwarding. In both of those. This can vary from router to router. Basically you put in your Computers 'Local IP' and put the opening and closing ports at 7756-7756

Then go into the PureFaction server launcher, go into the settings for your DM server, punch in 7756 into the Server Port

And Launch Server.

Now of course if you want to play that server on the same computer make sure your PF Clients Port is not set to 7756

Are you referring to developing a mod or hosting a server?

How about a tutorial of making customized WAV music for the game? I was trying to find Cyrus's guide of how to use via Audacity but no luck. If there's any good programs than that, to convert and resize to a small wav file, itll be great!
