Hi all!

I recently upgraded my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and I'm experiencing problems in RF.

The most notable problem is the mouse doesn't feel right and has caused my acc to drop from 36 to 26. I have tried tinkering with the following but found no solution:
- Direct mouse input on/off (normally on)
- V/Sync on/off (normally off - on would produce mouse lag in past similar to this)
- In-game mouse sens.
- Windows mouse-acceleration
- Rollback/update mouse drivers
- PF.exe compatibility mode
- Turning off Xbox app auto-record of gaming clips

I think I also noticed the mouse felt different on the operating system in general and not just during gaming.

It might also be possible that I experience input lag on the keyboard in-game, so we might be able to deduce it to an 'input lag' issue.

I also experience some graphical glitches, such as dynamic-lighting problems (flag-bearer's glow turns on and off), and rocket sensor being see-through (no black display with movement sensor).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix the supposed input-lag issue?

This shouldn't matter since you weren't having this problem in 8.1 but If you're using windowed or stretched try playing in normal fullscreen. DWM has lame behavior in 8.1+.

I normally play full-screen.

Also, I think I noticed mouse lag outside of RF just using the OS, so I'm not sure if that suggests anything.

If the mouse input genuinely is strange, then it's likely a timer issue. You could try a high res or low res timer.

Get a frame rate monitor and monitor the frame rate as you walk from one AR to the other AR in warlords. I found that I'd get somewhat choppy framerates depending on what operating system I used. I spammed info last time I played as I was too lazy to use a proper frame rate monitor. It has to update quickly too. Rather than try to fix the problem, find out what's happening when the problem presents itself. It's easier to fix something if you understand what is happening rather than just take a blind guess and change loads of shit.

Windows 2003 Server gave me the best results strangely enough, but the game is way too old and too inactive to care enough about running an operating system specifically for it.

I just noticed this. Fuck that shit then. There's too many variables. I would just format and see what happens. The upgrade things are usually problematic.

Stay on topic. The answer could be half useful to randoms that lurk from time to time. Your psuedo match bullshit isn't.

Jinx, have you played with video drivers at all? I haven't used it but I'm pretty sure 10 installs and updates drivers on its own. It may be that whatever version it's installing just doesn't work with RF properly.

Wouldn't be the first time RF has busted its shit in a new OS.

I just refreshed my Win10 OS and re-installed all drivers, including graphics card drivers. No noticeable effect.

I did force PF to run under DX9 using "PF.exe -dx9" in command prompt. This fixed the graphical glitch of the rocket sensor not appearing. I didn't check the flag glow because it inconsistently occurs. No effect on mouse input, I believe.

That isn't a valid flag for PF3.0d so it shouldn't be doing anything unless you're running some other client. What chipset and GPU are you running?
