Are there any spawn commands for SP? like spawning red faction or other NPCs?

Not in default pf/rf

Not through the level editor, but you could add custom entries to the entities.tbl and load it as a mod.

Seems like a syntax problem. There's not a lot of documentation on the table file syntax though, unfortunately. If you post the text of the additions you made, we may be able to help.

What are you trying to do anyway

Create a friendly NPC, that uses the Tech1 model and textures and more powerful weapons than the miners. I also want them to be more aggressive, spawned miners only attack when shot by enemies.

I was trying to make spawned entities run around and shoot of their own accord. Couldn't figure out a way to do it. None of the AI control events will work on spawned stuff
