hi guys, am looking for a tutorial on using the cel shaded effect in RF. i searched l4y but the search feature there has never worked properly for me anyway. poor coding maybe?

so anyway, would be nice if someone were able to teach me how to do it (spikey? sedo?). If you dont have time to write up an article on it, i'd do write one up / make a video for it once i've learnt the technique.

I sort of figured it out. involves a lot of fine tuning.

Spikey made a video tutorial but the link is dead now. It was hosted on Goober's FTP on Faction Boards, which isn't there anymore.

I'm sure Goober or Spikey could write up another quick tutorial.

I don't remember him making a video tutorial, but I could whip up one if you like.

Oh wait, now that I think about it, I can sort of remember that.

Bryce; long story short: make a brush, then copy paste it, stretch .5 in every dimension, center it on the object, change to air brush, keyframe.

I'll probably record a video or write a tutorial soon.

EDIT: Oh, and put a black texture on it

Yeah I figured it out guys, just had a look at DM-Dragorce by Sedo.

The main problem i'm having is getting a brush to butt up to another without looking 'dodgy' so to speak.

I will make a vid tutorial when I have figured out an effective technique to get around that odd look. Also when I am sober.

So I've recorded a quick tutorial on how to do it, but i'm on 256/64k internet, would take a while to upload a 42mb video. I'll get around to it eventually though
